Vecta was founded in 1959 with a desire to infuse the concept of industrial elegance into furnishings for the business environment—products that not only look good, they perform exceptionally well.

We were commissioned to design the environmental graphics for the Designer's Saturday YA/YA Speaks exhibit in the Vecta showroom at the Architects and Designers Building, New York.

New Orleans artist Jana Napoli opened the doors of her own studio in the late eighties to the commercial art students of the neighboring vocational high school and founded YA/YA, Inc. (Young Aspirations/Young Artists), a non-profit arts and social service organization. Their mission is to provide educational experiences and opportunities that empower artistically talented inner-city youth to become professionally self-sufficient through creative self-expression.

Our solution for the YA/YA Speaks collaboration between the group of young artists and Vecta was to incorporate the student's hand-drawn logo and graphic, graffiti-like doodles into a sophisticated system of product signage for their Vecta Office Seating Collection.
