Principals

David Curry is a designer and marketer engaged in the profession of creative problem solving. His comprehensive background spans a wide latitude of experience in design and creative marketing. Originally from Los Angeles, where he studied and worked in architecture, he subsequently worked for industrial design firms in San Francisco and New York.

Forming David Curry Design in 1983 in New York City, the firm provided integrated services in graphic design, interactive media, and photography for the arts, entertainment, media, travel and cultural markets. In 2000, the firm was renamed Design Latitudes along with a new brand identity and a focus on integrated online design solutions—in conjunction with the firm opening a new branch office and production studio under his direction in Miami. In 2009, the firm relocated to its current location in Los Angeles.

Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Antioch University West in San Francisco, his course of study was complemented by a strong background in architecture, photography and the humanities. Subsequent to his liberal arts training, he has done graduate study in communication graphics at Pratt Institute. He is also a well-traveled and accomplished photographer.


Marjorie Carmelia is a widely-experienced marketing professional in advertising and photography. Born in Jamaica, West Indies, Marjorie worked for major advertising agencies and newspapers throughout New York.

Marjorie joined Design Latitudes (then David Curry Design) as Marketing Director in 1996. Her responsibilities include strategic and tactical development, growth of new and existing markets for the company's services, and the on-going management of clients' projects. She is also responsible for on-line web site promotion and tracking.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Fordham University and studied photography at New York Institute of Photography. Her professional affiliations include Advertising Women of New York, New York Women in Communications, where she has served on the board, and the Publishing and Marketing Association. She travels extensively and is passionate about contemporary multi-cultural artists working in fine-art glass and ceramics.
